Why It Matters

Club for Growth Action, a conservative Super PAC born out of Club for Growth, is spending millions of dollars to influence elections in the House and Senate across the country. It's backing conservative GOP candidates while opposing Democrats and even some Republicans in close primaries and general elections.

The organization is focused on economic policy and says its priorities include reducing income taxes, replacing the existing tax code with a flat or fair tax, repealing the Affordable Care Act, reducing federal spending and the size of government, deregulation, and expanding school choice.

What It Spent

Through Aug. 31, Club for Growth Action reported $50.39 million in receipts, $28.99 million in total disbursements and $21.59 million in cash on hand. Its regular FEC reports included $4.92 million in independent expenditures through Aug. 31.

Where the Money Went

Club for Growth Action's largest candidate-specific investment has been approximately $1.23 million opposing Independent candidate Bill Hill in Alaska's at-large House race.

In Texas' 9th Congressional District, the super PAC spent approximately $1.11 million supporting Republican candidate Alexandra Mealer.

The committee spent approximately $706,277 opposing Rep. Marcy Kaptur (D-OH) in Ohio's 9th Congressional District.

In Florida's 22nd Congressional District, they spent approximately $704,806 opposing Casey Askar during the Republican primary.

In Michigan's 7th Congressional District, the super PAC spent approximately $597,506 opposing Democratic candidate William Lawrence. Lawrence is running against Rep. Tom Barrett (R-MI), whom Club for Growth PAC has endorsed.

Club for Growth Action spent approximately $518,663 supporting Republican Rep. Clay Fuller in Georgia's 14th Congressional District.

In Florida's 14th Congressional District, they spent approximately $455,986 opposing Rep. Kathy Castor (D-FL). Club for Growth PAC has also endorsed Republican Mike Beltran in that race.

The committee spent approximately $396,903 supporting Republican candidate David Flippo in Nevada's 4th Congressional District.

More recent filings also show substantial spending in Alaska. Club for Growth Action reported approximately $344,395 supporting Sen. Dan Sullivan (R-AK) and approximately $344,395 supporting Rep. Nick Begich (R-AK), primarily through door-to-door field programs.

In Pennsylvania's 10th Congressional District, the super PAC reported approximately $325,719 opposing Democrat Janelle Stelson.

Who Funds It

The FEC's filings show that the billionaire investor Jeff Yass is among the top individual donors to the super PAC. These filings list a contribution of $10 million made in November 2025 and other contributions of millions of dollars during the present election cycle.

The Club for Growth Action also receives funding from other individual donors and other political committees.

Restoration of America PAC is another major funding source. Its reported contributions include $2.5 million in October 2025 and a $15 million contribution reported on Aug. 27.

Marsha for Senate, the campaign committee associated with Sen. Marsha Blackburn (R-TN), also made multimillion-dollar contributions to Club for Growth Action, including a $4.8 million contribution reported in May.

Through Aug. 31, the super PAC reported $23.44 million in individual contributions and $25.81 million in contributions from other political committees. Together, those sources accounted for nearly all of its $50.39 million in receipts.

The Ad Spend

Recent FEC filings show Club for Growth Action making large television, digital, and field expenditures in several congressional races.

In Alaska, the committee reported spending about $320,708 for a door-to-door field program supporting Sen. Dan Sullivan (R-AK) and another $320,708 for a field program supporting Rep. Nick Begich (R-AK). The super PAC also reported spending about $23,438 in additional expenditures for each candidate as part of the same field effort.

In Pennsylvania's 10th Congressional District, the super PAC spent about $312,800 on television advertising against Stelson, along with about $12,600 on producing television ads.

In Florida's 14th Congressional District, Club for Growth Action reported approximately $241,556 for television advertising opposing Rep. Kathy Castor (D-FL), along with additional digital advertising expenditures against her.
