From Intern to Staff Assistant

Emerson R. Lindgren has been hired as a Staff Assistant in the personal office of Rep. Gregorio Casar (D-TX-35), starting June 1, 2026. Lindgren's role places her within the Texas-35 congressional staff supporting the Democratic representative from Texas's 35th congressional district. The position marks Lindgren's transition from an internship to a full-time House staff role. She previously interned in Casar's office from May 2024 to July 2024, giving her prior experience within the same congressional operation. Lindgren holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in global studies and Latin American Studies from Colby College, which she completed with summa cum laude honors in 2026. Her academic focus on global and regional studies aligns with her entry into congressional service.

The Office She Works In

As part of Rep. Gregorio Casar's staff, Lindgren works within an office handling a broad legislative portfolio. Casar serves on three House committees: the House Agriculture Committee, the House Education and the Workforce Committee, and the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee.
