Sara Engelhard Joins Rep. Ramirez's Office as Foreign Policy Adviser
Sara Engelhard has taken on the role of foreign policy adviser for Rep. Delia Ramirez as of March 1, 2026, bringing expertise across multiple policy domains to the congresswoman's office. Engelhard previously served as a foreign policy adviser for Rep. Lloyd Doggett (D-TX-37) from September 2025 until her transition to Ramirez's office. Before that position, she worked as a legislative assistant for Doggett from June 2024 to August 2025. Engelhard holds a Master's degree in global policy studies from the University of Texas at Austin Lyndon B. Johnson School of Public Affairs. Her issue areas span armed forces and national security, environmental protection, foreign trade and international finance, health, international affairs, and labor and employment.
The Office She Serves
Ramirez serves on the House Homeland Security Committee and its three subcommittees: Border Security and Enforcement, Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Protection, and Oversight, Investigations and Accountability. She also sits on the House Veterans' Affairs Committee and two subcommittees: Economic Opportunity and Oversight and Investigations.
