From Senior Outreach Director to Senior Adviser
Keturah Herron has been promoted to Senior Adviser in the Louisville office of Rep. Morgan McGarvey (D-KY-3), effective April 1, 2026. Herron has been building their congressional portfolio within McGarvey's office since late 2025. They previously served as Senior Outreach Director in McGarvey's office from December 2025 through March 2026 before stepping into her expanded role. Their new title as Senior Adviser places them among the highest-ranking staffers in the representative's personal office, positioning them to advise on a range of legislative and constituent matters.
Herron holds a Master's degree in Corrections and Juvenile Justice from Eastern Kentucky University.
The Office They Help Run
McGarvey serves on three House committees: the Small Business Committee, the Budget Committee, and the Veterans' Affairs Committee. Within these assignments, he holds leadership positions, including serving as Ranking Member of the House Small Business Committee Subcommittee on Innovation, Entrepreneurship and Workforce Development. McGarvey also serves on the House Small Business Committee Subcommittee on Contracting and Infrastructure, as well as two Veterans' Affairs subcommittees: the Subcommittee on Disability Assistance and Memorial Affairs and the Subcommittee on Economic Opportunity.
