Why It Matters
MAHA PAC, the political action committee associated with Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr.'s Make America Healthy Again movement, has spent more than $1.5 million on Republican congressional races, focusing much of its political spending on candidates aligned with the movement's health policy priorities.
MAHA PAC describes itself as "the political arm of the Make America Healthy Again movement" that "exists to elect Republicans who will fight for the Make America Healthy Again agenda in the 2026 midterms." The Federal Election Commission classifies MAHA PAC as a hybrid PAC with a non-contribution account, which can accept unlimited contributions for independent expenditures but cannot coordinate those expenditures with candidates or their campaigns. This means it essentially has the same abilities as a SuperPAC.
By the end of August MAHA PAC had reported receipts of $3.18 million, total disbursements of $9.89 million and cash on hand of $1.03 million, and in its periodic reports it stated that it had made independent expenditures amounting to $712,350.90.
What It Spent
Reports submitted through Aug. 31 show spending totaling $712,350.90; the FEC states that this total is based on monthly, quarterly, and semiannual reports.
Where the Money Went
The largest single target was Senator Bill Cassidy (R-LA), who drew approximately $1.09 million in reported opposition spending across the available filings. Alternatively, Rep. Julia Letlow (R-LA) received approximately $373,748 in support. Smaller amounts of supportive spending went to Jenny Costa Honeycutt at $25,900, Austin Rogers at $29,279, and Michael Alfonso at $20,089.
Reps. Glenn Thompson (R-PA), Mary Miller (R-IL) and Austin Scott (R-GA) each drew roughly $3,500 in opposition spending. The pattern shows a committee that concentrated the overwhelming share of its candidate-focused outside spending on Louisiana's Republican Senate primary while distributing smaller amounts across several House contests in multiple states.
Who Funds It
Botanic Tonics LLC is the largest stated source of funding, having donated $1 million to the MAHA PAC via two contributions of $500,000 each. This sum is equivalent to about 31% of the total $3.18 million in reported receipts of the committee by August 31.
Jack Green Group LLC, OPS International, and Venni Capital LLC each contributed $100,000. The rest of the contributions came from Rx Health Solutions Inc. with $40,000, Payer Matrix LLC with $35,000, and Superior Biologics Inc. with $30,000.
