Why It Matters
No Going Back PAC Inc. has spent more than $154 million this cycle on candidates, including more than $20 million opposing Sherrod Brown and more than $7.6 million supporting Jon Husted. The group's website describes it as making independent expenditures in U.S. federal elections, but does not spell out a broader mission or policy agenda. OpenSecrets described the PAC as "President Donald Trump-linked and MAGA Inc.-funded," and the New York Times reported, citing two people, that it was financially backed by MAGA Inc.
What It Spent
The committee's outside spending totaled $154.64 million as of Oct. 9, 2026.
Where the Money Went
The largest single target is the Ohio U.S. Senate special election, where the PAC spent more than $20 million opposing Brown, who faces incumbent Husted in a race rated Toss-up; the seat was previously held by JD Vance.
The second-largest target is the Michigan U.S. Senate race, where the committee spent $19.37 million opposing Democrat Abdul El-Sayed, who faces Republican Mike Rogers in a race rated Lean Democratic. FactCheck.org reported on Oct. 9 that a No Going Back PAC ad attacked El-Sayed over past comments and positions on policing and prisons, including a claim that his "plan" was to "commute sentences for murderers and rapists."
The PAC spent more than $8.8 million opposing Roy Cooper (D-NC) in the North Carolina U.S. Senate race, an open seat previously held by Sen. Thom Tillis (R-NC), where Cooper faces Michael Whatley (R); the race is rated Lean Democratic.
In the New Hampshire U.S. Senate race, an open seat previously held by Sen. Jeanne Shaheen (D-NH), the PAC spent more than $7.5 million opposing Chris Pappas (D-NH), who faces John E. Sununu (R); the race is rated Lean Democratic.
The PAC spent more than $7.3 million opposing Jared Moskowitz in Florida's 23rd Congressional District, an open seat previously held by Rep. Jared E. Moskowitz (D-FL), where Lois Frankel (D) faces Deborah Adeimy (R); the race is rated Solid Democratic.
The PAC also spent $4.60 million opposing Rep. Kathy Castor (D-FL) in Florida's 14th U.S. House District, where she faces Mike Beltran (R) in a race rated Toss-up.
