About the Organization

Reproductive Freedom for All PAC is the political action committee arm of Reproductive Freedom for All, the organization formerly known as NARAL Pro-Choice America. The PAC was registered with the FEC on August 5, 1977, making it one of the longest-standing reproductive rights PACs in the country. It is classified as a qualified membership organization and files monthly with the FEC.

The broader Reproductive Freedom for All organization mobilizes approximately 4.5 million members and engages in lobbying, candidate endorsements, television advertising, petition campaigns, and litigation related to its core issues. According to EBSCO Research Starters, the organization emphasizes comprehensive sex education and increased birth control availability to reduce the need for abortions and advocates for quality prenatal care and paid family leave for parents. The organization has organized marches drawing over 750,000 people to Washington, D.C.

Critics have raised concerns about the organization's electoral tactics. In 2005, NARAL ran a television ad linking Supreme Court nominee John Roberts to abortion clinic violence. Even fellow abortion-rights allies complained the ad was unfair, and the New York Times editorial board called it a bad ad that unfairly linked Judge John Roberts Jr. with abortion clinic violence. Former Senator Arlen Specter (R-PA), a pro-choice Republican, called the ad blatantly untrue and unfair and said it only hurts the abortion-rights cause. NARAL ultimately pulled the ad.

InfluenceWatch documents that Reproductive Freedom for All leads campaigns designed to demonize pro-life and Republican officials, and has partnered with other left-of-center organizations, including Emily's List and the National Abortion Federation, to run anti-Republican ads on social media.
