Pooja Patel Promoted to Senior Legislative Assistant in Rep. McCaul's Office

From Legislative Assistant to Senior Legislative Assistant

Rep. Michael McCaul (R-TX-10) has promoted Pooja Patel to Senior Legislative Assistant, effective March 1, 2026. The position represents a significant step forward for the staffer within the Texas congressional office after serving in a Legislative Assistant capacity since April 2025.

Patel previously interned in the personal office of Rep. Stephanie I. Bice (R-OK-5) from September 2021 to December 2021. Patel holds a Master's degree from Georgetown University Edmund A. Walsh School of Foreign Service, earned between 2023 and 2025, and a Bachelors in Science in economics and international affairs from Georgia Institute of Technology.

McCaul serves as Chairman Emeritus on the House Committee on Foreign Affairs, and as Chairman Emeritus of the House Committee on Homeland Security.
