From Staff Assistant to Deputy Communications Director
Quinn Usry has moved to the Senate, taking on a new role as Deputy Communications Director at the Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee.
Usry most recently served as Press Secretary and Digital Manager for Rep. Daniel S. Goldman (D-NY-10) from January through December 2025. Usry previously worked as Staff Assistant for Rep. Daniel S. Goldman (D-NY-10) from March 2023 to January 2024, and as Press Assistant for Rep. Daniel S. Goldman (D-NY-10) from January 2024 to January 2025.
Usry holds a bachelor's degree in political science and government from Boston College, previously worked in the House of Representatives, and now works in the Senate.

Pending measures include S.5325, sponsored by Sen. Cory A. Booker (D-NJ) with one cosponsor, which would prohibit the Department of Homeland Security from entering into new contracts to operate the Delaney Hall Detention Center for immigration detention and allow termination of existing contracts.
