Britney Fernandez Joins Senate Sergeant at Arms

From Senate Personal Office to Administration

Britney Fernandez has moved from the personal office of Sen. Jack Reed (D-RI) to the Senate Sergeant at Arms Capitol Division, where she now serves as employment specialist, effective October 1. ​

She spent approximately two years and nine months as a staff assistant in Reed's office, from January 2024 to October 2026. Before that staff assistant role, she interned in the same office from February to April 2023. Fernandez holds a bachelor's degree in politics and law from Bryant University, earned between 2019 and 2023.

Her former employer, Sen. Jack Reed (D-RI), serves as ranking member of the Senate Armed Services Committee and sits on the Banking, Housing, and Urban Affairs committee as well as the Senate Appropriations Committee.
