Why It Matters
The Produce Coalition for USMCA entered federal lobbying this week, marking a new player in trade policy advocacy. Russell Group Inc. registered the organization as a new client on June 1, with the congressional lobbying disclosure filing signed July 2. The group is focused on Trade (Domestic & Foreign) issues, positioning itself to influence U.S. trade policy during a period of ongoing negotiations and tariff discussions.
The Lobbyists
The Russell Group is deploying two lobbyists to represent the Produce Coalition for USMCA, namely Andrew Harker, a principal at the firm, and Alex Smith, a legislative assistant. Andrew Harker brings Capitol Hill experience to the engagement, having served on the House Agriculture Committee in 2006.
