From House to Senate

Noelle J. Cardi has joined Sen. Jack Reed's personal office as a staff assistant, effective Nov. 1, 2026. The position is based in Washington, D.C. No specific policy areas are listed in the staffer record.

Reed is the ranking member of the Senate Armed Services Committee (SASC) and a member of the Senate Banking, Housing and Urban Affairs Committee (SBANKING). Reed is the ranking member of the Senate Armed Services Committee and also sits on the Senate Banking, Housing and Urban Affairs Committee.

Reed's office is Cardi's fourth personal office. Her prior positions were all internships: she interned for Rep. Gabe Amo (D-RI-1) from September to October 2026, for Sen. Sheldon Whitehouse (D-RI) from April to May 2025, and for Rep. Seth Magaziner (D-RI-2) from October to December 2024. All three of Cardi's prior offices were Rhode Island delegations, as is Reed's current office, where Cardi is a staff assistant.

Cardi holds a BA in political science and economics from George Washington University, earned between 2021 and 2025. Her internship sequence ran across both chambers and both Senate and House offices of the Rhode Island delegation, spanning roughly two years before the staff assistant appointment.

Reed's dual committee assignments mean Cardi enters an office engaged on both national security and banking issues.
